Kaththi extends Vijay's stronghold

With Kaththi nearing its release date, updates related to its opening in the various release markets are dime a dozen. In the UK, a key overseas market and a space where Vijay always commands a very strong pull, the film is reported to be opening in around 70 cinemas, which is a new record. October 22 is the opening date and booking plans are expected to begin soon. Ayngaran would be releasing Kaththi in UK.

All 4 of Vijay's previous releases, Jilla, Thalaivaa, Thuppakki and Nanban, find a spot among the best openers in UK. Given the extent of Kaththi's opening, a new record for weekend collections can be expected.
