Will 'Thala 55' match GVM’s evergreen hit rate?

Gautham Menon is known for his amazingly pleasant songs; all his albums have been highly appreciated and very well-received. In fact his first movie, Minnale that was released more than a decade back in early 2001 is still a hot favourite in Chennai's airwaves.
 

Gautham Menon has had 8 direct releases in Tamil so far in the form of Minnale, Kaakha Kaakha, Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu, Pachaikili Muthucharam, Vaaranam Aayiram, Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa, Nadunisi Naaygal and Neethaane En Ponvasantham, out of which 7 movies are musically inclined, apart from Nadunisi Naaygal which did not feature any songs.
 

Now coming to the facts, the Top 50 albums in this week’s Chennai FM Airwaves feature four Gautham Menon albums while all 7 seven albums feature in the top 100. That shows the sheer longevity of all his albums.
