Kamal Haasan to reveal Andrea’s single

Katradhu Thamizh and Thanga Meengal fame director Ram’s third project, Taramani is under production. Starring Andrea and Vasanth Ravi in the lead, the film is being produced by Ram and Dr. L Gopinath’s Catamaran Productions for JSK Film Corporation.

A teaser trailer of the movie was released recently featuring the two leads talking about love in classic Tamil. Now we hear that the team is all set to release a single track. Titled “The Soul of Taramani”, the song is written, composed and crooned by Andrea herself. The track will be released by Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan at the Prasad Lab on Sunday, 9th February, 2014.

Talking about the track, director Ram said, “During the shoot of Taramani, I happened to hear Andrea's compositions that she had saved on her mobile phone. There was this one particular song that sounded to me like the soul of a railway station. Andrea had written the song in English and the way she had sung the song showed her passion and love for music.”

He also said that the song will feature the making of the film, which they had shot using a 5D camera. Ram credited Andrea for coming up with the idea of releasing the song with the making footages.

“I think this is the first time an independent track is being released just for the promotion of the movie,” he added.

Meanwhile, director Bharathiraja will also release the script book of Taramani, in the same event.

Directed by Ram, Taramani has Yuvan Shankar Raja’s music, Theni Eshwar’s cinematography and Sreekar Prasad’s editing.
