''Aranmanai gradually grew into a big film''

The director of the upcoming horror-comedy Aranmanai, Sundar C is mighty excited ahead of the release of the film, this Friday, the 19th. The expectations from the film are huge and we got in touch with the ace director for a sneak peek on what to expect from the film

"I started off this film, planning on a small level but gradually the scope of the film increased and the hype associated with it also grew. Now the film has truly become huge and carries a lot of expectations.

This is my first attempt at the horror-comedy genre and that's a special aspect of the film. Secondly, the film has three beautiful heroines - Hansika, Andrea and Lakshmi Rai and their presence would be equally important to the film.

Santhanam generally shines with his comedy in my films and Aranmanai would be no different. Next, the palace (aranmanai) that we have shown in the film is truly grand and would befit the movie and the title.

The film has extensive CG work and we have tried to be as subtle and close to reality as possible.

There are 10 important, equally developed characters in the film, and I am one among them, playing an advocate. It is a while since I acted in a film.

The film would be releasing in more than 300 screens in TN and is one of the biggest in recent times. I wish to thank Red Giant Movies and Sri Thenandal Films for acquiring the film's rights.
