''Rahul has expressive eyes''
Dec 06, 2014Anjana who made a promising debut with Veppam is busy with her second film interestingly titled ‘Pal’aandu Vaazhga starring Rahul Raveendran and Wasna Ahmed.
In an exclusive chat, Anjana shares updates about her film
On the interesting quotes in the title
‘Pal’aandu Vaazhga - a pun on ‘pal’ as in tooth because the hero falls in love with a dentist. It's a romcom, a lighthearted film with a love story at its crux and a whole lot of eccentric characters who in turn help and hinder the romance.
Rahul Raveendran and Wasna Ahmed
I saw Rahul in a Telugu film ‘Andala Rakshasi’ and really liked him. He has expressive eyes and also a charming onscreen presence. Wasna Ahmed has done several Hindi serials and also Kaadhal Solla Aasai in Tamil.
Genre of ‘Pal’aandu Vaazhga and shooting locales
The film is city-centric and we will be shooting in Chennai throughout other than perhaps outdoors for a song.
Producers
Emersigns Productions are the people producing this film. They are a young, dynamic production house with one film behind them already and several more to come.
Why a long gap after Veppam?
I have been writing, and am ready with my scripts now. I hope not to have too much of a gap here in after.
Technical team
Ganesh Rajavelu aka Gym Ganesh is the DoP for ‘Pal’aandu Vaazhga. I have known him for a long time. He shot my first ad film. He is absolutely brilliant and a very experienced, involved technician. I am really thrilled to have him on board.
Satish Chakravarthy is doing the music. He's an extremely talented person and I totally enjoy collaborating with him as he is open to all kinds of crazy thoughts and ideas. He never gets tired of re-looking at something that he may be absolutely happy with, if he thinks that there's a glimmer of a chance that he can make it better!
T.S.Suresh is my editor; again someone I have known for a while now. He's full of positive energy and a very fast, efficient worker. I've worked with him in the past and know that he completely has his finger on the pulse of things, can quickly understand the innate rhythm of the story and work on it.
Jai is handling art, he has worked with Rajeevan for a long time and is a great strength as this film needs to look "rich".
Wishing the team of ‘Pal’aandu Vaazhga, the very best!
