Actor Madhavan's political campaign

Actor Madhavan, who was last seen in the 2012 Lingusamy directorial Vettai, still commands a huge fan base in Tamil Nadu. Associated with the brightest minds of the industry – Kamal Haasan, Mani Ratnam, and Aamir Khan, he had always been complimented for his brains on cinema.
 

Now, from the actor’s twitter feed, we know that he is a keen follower of politics as well. He recently tweeted, “About time we put our country first, and those fashionable and volatile topics aside. Deep inside, you know what is good for the country, and this time let’s show it.”

He has predicted that a majority government would win the elections this time. It is to be noted that no single Indian party has won a majority since 1989. He added, “It doesn't make interesting news to say that the election results are a foregone conclusion. There would be no breaking news to exploit.”
 

The Alaipayuthey actor is also against the mudslinging the political candidates indulge in. He said, “Tell us what you can do, not what your opponent cannot do.”
