Director Ezhil has worked with Ajith in films like Poovellam Un Vaasam and Raja and he recently had some interesting episodes to share about his working experience with Ajith.

When Ezhil was about to begin the filming of Poovellam Un Vaasam in 2001, Ajith had gained a big mass following thanks to his action hero image in movies like Amarkalam, Dheena and Citizen. The producer of Poovellam, Aascar Ravi had even expressed his doubts to Ezhil about carrying on with such a family oriented film with an action hero like Ajith in hand. But Ezhil was confident about Ajith’s capabilities in pulling off varying roles and the film also garnered a good reception from the audiences thanks to the lovely songs, good visuals and the clean content.

Poovellam Un Vaasam also provided a good break to composer Vidyasagar and post this film, he had a grand run in the Tamil industry.
