During the Vishwaroopam saga prior to the film’s release actor Vishal had made a public comment against the Nadigar Sangam questioning their silence and inaction during Kamal Haasan’s crisis. The Nadigar Sangam believed that Vishal had breached the organization’s code of conduct and was reportedly considering suspending the actor temporarily.

After a few months of back and forth responses, the Nadigar Sangam demanded Vishal to be present in person before the committee and offer his explanation. The actor duly obliged and took the opportunity to clarify himself, following which the committee came to the conclusion that no action will be taken against the actor.
