Superstar Rajini pays respects to the late media baron

Popular media baron and Managing Director of the Tamil daily Dina Thanthi Mr. B. Sivanthi Adityan breathed his last yesterday, Friday the 19th of April, at a private hospital in the city. Adityan had been battling ill health for nearly a month at the hospital after being admitted for treatment for brain hemorrhage.
Adityan was the head honcho of the Dina Thanthi Trust which was also the home to publications such as Maalaimalar, Rani, Rani Muthu, Hello FM and Thanthi TV. Adityan also wore many hats as a keen follower of sporting activities. He is survived by his wife and two children. Adityan was also recepient of the Padmashree in 2008.
Superstar Rajiniknath reportedly made his way to Adityan’s residence earlier today to pay his respects to the departed. Prominent political figures such as the Chief Minister of the State, J. Jayalalitha too issued a statement of commiseration.
