Actress Revathi became a household favorite ever since she entered the industry in 1983 with Bharathiraja’s Mann Vasanai. She later went on to act alongside the biggest heroes in Tamil cinema. Hailing from Kerala, she fell in love with a fellow Keralite, producer and filmmaker Suresh Menon. The two got married in 1986.

But their marriage turned out to be a turbulent affair plagued by difference of opinions between the two. Even though they lived under the same roof, they led separate lives for long. After years of turmoil, the two decided to apply for divorce on mutual consent. They had filed a request at the family court in Chennai in October 2012.

They were requested to appear before the hearing judge Raja Chockalingam on a couple of occasions over the last few weeks to register their statement. The honorable judge has announced that he will be giving his verdict on the 22^nd of April, a day which could be Revathi’s last as being legally married.
