Power Star to play 'Boodham'

One of Tamil cinema’s classic comedies, the fantasy filled ‘Pattanathil Boodham’, is all set to be remade. Director Manikandan who brought us Kanna Laddu Thinna Asaiya, which was a rehash of yet another classic comedy ‘Indru Poi Nalai Vaa’, will undertake the directional responsibilities.
The original Pattanathil Boodham featured Jaishankar and Nagesh while ‘Javer’ Seetharaman played the genie ‘Boodham’, and the remake will apparently feature Mirchi Shiva as the hero and Power Star Srinivasan as the ‘Boodham’. Crazy Mohan has been roped in to work on the dialogues and the crew is in search of a suitable heroine.
