Earlier there were reports about Sundar C’s hit comedy featuring Vimal and Shiva, Kalakalappu, being remade in Telugu. Following some delays in pre-production the project will indeed see the light of the day, but not without changes.

The big change from the original will be that Allari Naresh will supposedly play a dual role in the film, hence enacting both Vimal and Shiva’s characters. The other development with regard to this project is that the KLTA ‘Laddu’ Vishaka Singh has been signed up for Anjali’s role while the search is on for the second heroine.

The Telugu remake will be made by a completely local unit and is expected to go on floors very soon.
