The AC Durai directed Ponmaalai Pozhudhu, is finally nearing its release after being in readiness for quite sometime now. The music for this flick scored by Sathya is already popular and has increased the expectations for the movie.

Aadhav Kannadasan and Gayathri lead the cast list which also includes Anupama Kumar in a motherly role and Arul Dass (Naan Mahaan Alla fame) as the villain.

At the press meet held recently for the movie, an interesting incident was narrated. During one of the scenes when Arul Das was supposed to punch the hero and heroine, he did so for real, in order to make sure that the scene came out authentically. But poor Gayathri couldn't handle the pain and broke down in tears.
