In Sundar C’s Kalakalappu, Anjali surprised many with her glamorous avatar. It almost seemed as if she was competing with her co-star Oviya in that department. When asked if that would be the case again in Sundar C’s Madha Gaja Raja, where her co-star is Varalakshmi Sarathkumar, Anjali said it would be more of an acting-war rather than a glamour-war.

She says that in the film her performance will remind the audience of her powerful acting from Angaadi Theru. The film stars Vishal in the lead and has music by Vijay Antony.
