Irandam ulagam was the much awaited magnum opus of Selvaraghavan.. It was a movie that was under production for more than two years and a movie that underwent a lot of changes in the production department as well as the lead pair of actors...The trailer and the music of the movie laid a perfect platform for a good opening lunch for it...

First of all the Director needs to be appreciated for thinking out of the box... He came up with an story, which was completely different when compared to the way of making Tamil cinema... The Director's imagination about how life will be on the second world was perfect... The main advantage of the movie was the way the story unfolds itself, as the screenplay takes to the the two worlds alternatively....

Arya and Anushka were the perfect pair for the movie... Anushka has once again proved her acting skills through the characters of Ramya and Varna... The character of Varna was perfectly tailor made for her... Arya's acting skills are improving with every movie he is signing upon.... He perfectly suited the role of the social worker and his physique was suited to the role of a warrior..

The main highlights of the movie were the visual effects and the VFX team needs to be credited for doing such a fabulous job.. The visuals were some of the kind that Tamil cinema has never seen.. Ramji's camera work also needs a special mention, particularly during the fight sequences.

Harris Jeyaraj's songs were very well shot and the BGM by Anirudh was also good to an extent...

As all Selvaraghavan's movies have been received in Tamil film industry, Irandam Ulagam has also opened to mixed responses... But, after a few years, the movie will be spoken about with a lot of hype, as every Selvaraghavan film which was released before... Irandam Ulagam is a movie which will be considered as a milestone in Tamil cinema after a period of 5 years....
