Nowadays, Comedy Movies are garnering huge profits for Producers. Director Rajesh is the one who started the trend of taking comedy movies with absolutely no story. His movies SMS, BOSS & OKOK were blockbusters. Even, VVS which was an average movie became blockbuster due to his comedy dialogues. All in All Azhaguraja is Goundamani’s character name in the film “Vaidehi Kaathirundhal”. Teaser of the movie went on viral and even created fan base for Mukesh. Trailer & rest of the teasers of the movie were not good. Rajesh + Santhanam Combo have given us wonderful comedy movies till date. Let us see whether they manage to give much needed HIT for Karthi in this review.


Story: OKOK with Karthi as hero & Kajal Aggarwal as Heroine.


Karthi – He had to be applauded for selecting Director Rajesh. In Rajesh’s earlier movies, Santhanam had equal or more weightage than the heroes. Karthi made a mistake of acting in MASS HERO Movie subjects and didn't work out for him. He selected bad script in his last 2 movies and have done the same mistake here, believing Rajesh + Santhanam combo will do the magic for him. He has acted well in this movie as usual. In 80’s flashback scene, he has done complete justice to the character. Indeed, he looked like younger version of Prabhu in that role. His bad luck continues and hopefully he will select better scripts in future.


Kajal Aggarwal – She joins along with Karthi for the second time after Naan Mahaan Alla. She has acted well in most of the scenes & over-acted in few scenes


Santhanam – He used to be at his best in Director Rajesh’s movies. Indeed, Rajesh was the one who provided great platform for Santhanam in his “SMS” and the trend is continuing till date. Kareena Chopra is the only saving grace in the movie. His comedy had worked only in parts in this movie.


Prabhu, Saranya, Naren, Kotta Srinivasa Rao have done the supporting actors role and doesn’t have much opportunity to perform in this movie


Music director “Boys” fame Thaman has given 2 good songs – “Yaarukkum Sollama” & “Unnai Partha Neram”. As usual, other songs & even lots of scenes give more breaks to the audience.
 

Editing by Vivek Harshan could have been better. Movie runs for almost 2 hours and 51 minutes. First half alone runs for 1 hour and 25 minutes. For a comedy movie, without any story & screenplay, 3 hours is really too lengthy and will give head-ache to the audience.


Director Rajesh had given good comedy movies without any story till date. He has followed the same formula in this movie too and has failed completely for the first time in his career. Even Director Rajesh & Santhanam fans may not like this movie. First half of the movie has few good comedy scenes and was quite dragging. But, the second half has just a scene or two with good comedy & boring flashback.


Overall, Rajesh has given first flop movie in his career. Karthi’s bad luck continues and gives third consecutive flop due to poor script selection. He is a good actor, hopefully, he will return with a bang in his future movies.
