The great advantage of remakes of original hit
films is that you already have a popular script
on hand and you only have to work at packaging
it differently. RGV is making Sholay, Farhan
Akthar is making Don and David Dhawan will try
his hand at Amar, Akbar, Anthony. Joining this
list is a new version of a devotional hit film
of the 1970s, Jai Santhoshi Maa.
Percept Film Company has bought remake rights
of the film from Satram Rohra, the producer.
Ahmed Siddiqui, who was the associate director
of DDLJ and Veer Zara will direct the new version
and Anu Malik will be the composer. Malik who
is known for his fast-paced music told that
he would score music rooted in devotional genre.
