It has been 25 years since Maestro Ilayaraja created the non-film music album, How to Name It. The album, which was an inspired celebration of JS Bach and Thyagaraja, was released in 1986. Dedicated to the Baroque composer and Carnatic master, it is a fusion of Indian and Western Classical music that had captured the hearts of millions worldwide. In order to celebrate the silver jubilee of the soulful instrumental album, maestro’s daughter Bhavatharini along with her brothers is planning to organize live performances of How to Name It.
The team is planning a world tour of the show and it is expected that leading violinists Ganesh and Kumaresh will perform in the show. It has to be noted that one of the tracks of the album was used in the BGM of the film Veedu.
