Apple fans are known to be very passionate about their products, especially iPhone users. It's a thing of joy and passion, something they can be proud about. But then there are people who take things to a whole new level.
Such is the case with a Russian woman named Rita Shameeva, who seems to be obsessed with her iPhone even after death. According to a report in the DailyMail, the 25-year-old was buried below a 5-feet-high tombstone depicting her favorite iPhone.
The tombstone is erected at the Yuzhnoye cemetery in the city of Ufa. Featuring a photo of the deceased, the tombstone was erected by her father, following her death in 2016. The tombstone also has a QR code at its base.
While the unusual tombstone has created a lot of buzz in the city, very little is known about Rita, who lay beneath. She was a keen traveller and vey attached to her iPhone.
“I thought I was having hallucinations. How could an American smartphone suddenly appear at our cemetery? And such a huge one. I came closer and was surprised. I've seen many gravestones, but to make one in the form of iPhone - this is the first time, to be honest,” said a mourner.
