In an exclusive article written by famous porn star Spencer Barrick, majorly known as Damon Dice, in The Daily Beast, he has said that he is not ashamed of his porn past because it made him rich.

He said he had been following Mia Khalifa in the news recently and he said he was irritated because it occurred to him that she was bashing the porn industry to receive clicks for the posts.

He said that they both entered the industry in the same time and mentioned that she called it quits after 3 months while he continued. He also said that she must not have expected to be famous.

"Life is about decisions" he said. He also shared how different people entered the industry from different backgrounds. He said some try for money and some because they like it. He said some make a career while some make money and quit the industry.

He said he started doing webcam sex shows with a girl in college. She is also a porn star, Caster Cruise, who is successful in the industry.

He said he was running a company and went broke at one point. "I ran out of money and I ran out of momentum. I was broke, I was hungry, I was depressed ... ne month I couldn’t afford my rent and literally found my belongings tossed out on the street. I was homeless and didn’t have a penny to my name," he said.

He said acting porn is the best desicion he has ever made. "Being in this industry can be both physically and mentally exhausting," he acknowledged but he said it gave him enough money.

He also mentioned how porn industry is making money behind the actors back and not paying them for views.

Apart from being a pornstar, he is also a successful businessman. He said he will quit the industry after a year's contract comes to an end and that he is proud of being a porn star and he is not ashamed.
