Garima Kothari, a restaurant owner in New Jersey, was found dead with blunt injuries to her head in her home in America on Sunday around 7.15 am, say local media reports.
It is suspected that the 35-year-old lady who was also five months pregnant was murdered by her husband Manmohan Mall, whose body was later fished out from the Hudson River.
The cops' hypothesis is that this is a case of murder-suicide though the reason behind the same hasn't been made clear, as yet.
Both bodies were taken to the medical examiner's office and Garima's death was ruled a homicide. The Hudson County prosecutor's office said 'it appears at this time that these deaths are the result of a murder-suicide'.
Garima owned a restaurant called Nukkad, which she had recently reopened after a temporary break owing to corona. She had been a finalist on MasterChef India and had catered for the likes of the Clinton family, Sarah Jessica Parker, Cher, Deepak Chopra and Melinda Gates.
