A few days ago, Jerry Nadler and other US Democrats charged President Trump with Committing High Crimes and misdemeanors on December 10. Further two articles were introduced against Donald J Trump which goes on the lines of 'Abuse of Power' and 'Obstruction of justice'.
"Today, in service to our duty to the constitution and to our country, the House Committee on the Judiciary is introducing two articles of impeachment charging the president of United States, Donald J Trump with committing High Crimes and Demeanours," said Jerry Nadler at the US Capitol in the presence of other Democrats including House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.
Nadler quoted Trump's interference in the Ukraine matters and blamed him in his course of speech when he said "exactly what President Trump did when he solicited and pressured Ukraine to interfere in the 2020 Presidential election, thus damaging our national security, undermining the integrity of next election and violating his oath to the American people"
While he was about to end his speech, Nadler said, "We must be clear, no one, not even the president, is above the law". A few minutes before Nadler's impeachment articles, Trump backed himself saying that he did not pressurize Ukraine to interfere in the 2020 election. Watch the video of Nadler addressing at the Capitol below.

According to the latest reports, the house is likely to take up impeachment tomorrow (December 18) setting the stage for a vote this week on whether to approve the charges and send the matter to the Republican-led Senate to hold a trial on whether to remove Trump from office.
Reportedly, the Democrats who have a majority of 36 seats might win an impeachment vote since it requires a simple majority. On the other side, Republicans have 53 of the 100 seats in the Senate and it would require a two-thirds majority of those present to remove Trump from his office.
It has to be mentioned that no US president was removed though the direct outcome of impeachment. In 1974, Richard Nixon resigned before he could be removed from the office. Similarly, Bill Clinton was impeached by the house in 1998 while Andrew Jhonson faced the same in 1868. However, both of them were not convicted by the Senate.
