This news garnered a new feather to its cap, where Government schools for Blind, Deaf and Dumb in Thanjavur have recorded cent percent pass in the plus two examinations. The results for which were declared on Friday.
According to Deccan Chronicle, the chief educational officer, Shantha said 70 schools out of 217 in Thanjavur revenue district have recorded cent percent passing out. They include government higher secondary schools at Ponnapur, Thambikottai Vadakadu, Aduthurai, Avanam, Karambay am, Karukadipatti, Kuruvikarambai, Neyvasal, Urantharayankudikadu, Pachur, Thekkur, Vandayar Iruppu, Vettikadiu and Thirucherai.
Media reports also state that Government-aided schools which secured cent percent passing out include Kalyanasundaram higher secondary school, Sacred Heart Girls Higher secondary school, St.Joseph's girls higher secondary school, P.V.Selvaraj Higher secondary school-all schools in Thanjavur, Kasimia Higher Secondary school at Rajagiri, Sacred Heart Higher Secondary school at Michaelpatti and Oriental higher secondary school at Kumbakonam.
While, among other private schools, Amalraj Matriculation higher secondary school at Thiruvaiyaru, C. S. Matriculation school at Mariammankoil near Thanjavur, Yagappa school, Yagappa school, Kamala Sunramanyam higher secondary school at Thanjavur and many more have secured cent percent passing out.
