2 MEN DRILL HOLE, STEAL GOLD ORNAMENT WORTH RS. 50 CRORE FROM LALITHA JEWELLERY STORE

In a shocking case, two unidentified men stole gold ornaments worth Rs. 50 crore from renowned Lalitha Jewellery store at Chathiram Busstand in Trichy on Wednesday.
On an immediate call police arrived headed by A Amalraj; after initial investigation they found out that the burglars managed to drill a hole in the wall of Lalithaa Jewellers to enter into the building.
According to Indian Express report, the employees of the store were shocked to see the shop empty when they opened the store at 9:00 am. All the gold ornaments that were kept on the ground floor were missing.
With an estimation, close to 35 kg of gold and diamond ornaments are currently missing. CCTV footage have been collected from the store where two men can be seen in fancy animal mask entering the store. The burglars reportedly used chilly powder to cover their tracks, Express further reported.
The theft took place around 2:00 am to 3:00 am. Police have informed professional forensic experts to examine the store. Only screwdrivers and few tools have been recovered in the search.
