In a shocking incident in Chennai, a 25-year-old cab driver committed suicide after recording a video alleging that police are responsible for his decision.
Rajesh Murthy worked for NTL Taxi service. Murthy's body was found on the railway tracks near Maraimalai Nagar on January 25. Reportedly, the driver committed suicide due to constant harassment by the city police.
Murthy had taken a video of himself explaining his decision. In the video, Murthy alleged that it was the Chennai Police that pushed him to suicide. He was heard saying, "Earlier, another driver, too, had died by suicide, but no action was taken. When questioned you say that you’ve transferred people, but ultimately nothing is done."
