On 4 April, Tamil Nadu reported 74 new COVID-19 positive cases taking the total number of positive cases to 485. Of the 74 new cases, 73 are linked to the Tablighi Jamaat conference in Delhi.
As per the Tamil Nadu Health Department's data on Saturday, the state government has screened 2,10,538 passengers and has isolated 1681 suspected individuals in hospitals.
A total of 4248 samples have been tested, of which 3356 have resulted negative. Results of 407 samples are awaited.
