BIGGEST SPIKE TILL DATE! 771 NEW POSITIVE CASES IN TAMIL NADU; ADDITIONAL COVID-19 DETAILS LISTED

Tamil Nadu on Tuesday, 6 May, reported 771 new cases of COVID-19 taking the total number of cases in the state 4829.

Press Note from the Health Ministry said a large number of today’s cases are linked to Koyambed Market.

Two persons succumbed to the virus on the date taking the death toll of the state to 35

Total number of Male/Female/Transgender tested positive today – 575/196/0

Total number of Male/Female/Transgender tested positive till date – 3320/1507/2

Total number of functioning COVID-19 testing facilities – 52 (36 government and 16 private)

Total number of samples tested till date – 1,88,241

Total number of samples tested today – 13,413

Total number of persons tested till date – 1,78,472

Total number of persons tested today – 13,281

Total number of suspected individuals in isolation ward admission – 3381

Total number of patients discharged following treatment till date– 1516

Total number of patients discharged following treatment today – 31
