Indian skipper Virat Kohli has been on a record-shattering spree over the past couple of matches. Now, Kohli has added yet another feather to his already illustrious career.
During his knock against West Indies in the second ODI at Vizag, Kohli became the third Indian batsman to complete 4000 runs on Indian soil.
Kohli surpassed his Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar yet again by becoming the batsman to take least number of innings to complete 4000 runs on home soil for India. Kohli reached the mark in his 78th innings at home, while Tendulkar had taken 92 innings to complete the milestone.
Apart from Kohli and Tendulkar, Dhoni is the other player to have scored more than 4000 runs on home soil. During the course of his innings, Kohli also became India's highest run-getter in ODIs against the Windies, going past Tendulkar yet again.
