The recent ATP Cup match which was against Australia’s Nick Kyrgios and Greek tennis star Stefanos Tsitsipas was a nail-biting one. What happened after the match made headlines all across the world!
After the match, Stefanos Tsitsipas completely lost his head and managed to injure his father during an angry racket smash on the chair where his father and coach, Apostolos Tsitsipas was sitting.
This incident was caught on camera and it is currently going viral. Which shows that the World No. 7 was edged out in the tiebreaker during the game. While in his anger, Tsitsipas accidentally hurt his father’s arm.
In the video, Tsitsipas can be seen swinging his racket in frustration on the chair and in the second attempt, it struck his father. His father can be seen walking away to protect himself, while Tsitsipas sits in anger.
Seconds after that, the situation turns more dramatic after Tsitsipas’ mother, who was sitting in the crowd, walks up to her son and scolds him for his behaviour and then walks away.
Tsitsipas was frustrated the whole time and was also seen hitting the ball at his team members, which cost him a penalty point.
