ALL FOUR NIRBHAYA RAPISTS TO BE HANGED, DELHI COURT ANNOUNCES DATE & TIME!

The much awaited judgement is here- a Delhi court issued death warrant against all four convicts in the 2012 Nirbhaya gang rape and murder case. The Delhi court has scheduled the execution for 7:00 am on January 22.

According to News18 report, the Additional Sessions Judge Satish Kumar Arora, who issued the death warrants, stated that the convicts can use their legal remedies within 14 days.

During the hearing, the prosecution said there was no application pending before any court or President Ram Nath Kovind by any of the convicts. Also, the review petition of all the convicts was earlier dismissed by the Supreme Court.  

The convicts were produced before the court earlier today through video conferencing. There were six people who were accused and arrested in connection with sexual assault and murder.

One of the accused was said to be a minor when the incident took place while another accused committed suicide in Tihar Jail.

Earlier, four of the convicts were sentenced to death by a trial court in September 2013, and the verdict confirmed by the Delhi High Court in March 2014. Later it was, upheld by the Supreme Court in May 2017, which also dismissed their review petitions.
