Home > News Shots > SportsIn an exclusive chat with former England batsman Kevin Pietersen, Team India 'Hit-Man' Rohit Sharma had a conversation on Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020, lowest point of career and the magic on the field.
During the conversation, Pietersen, asked about the 13th edition of the IPL to which Rohit replied. "At some stage, when things settle down, it might happen, who knows," Rohit told Pietersen during a live chat on Instagram.
Currently, IPL 2020, which was scheduled to begin on March 29 has been postponed to April 15 as a precautionary measure against COVID-19. Talking further about time he spent with Ricky Ponting at the franchise, Rohit termed that moment as "magic." Ponting, was the captain of Mumbai Indians (MI) in 2013 before handing over the reins to Rohit.
Further in the conversation, Pietersen asked the 'Hit-Man' about the lowest point of his career, to which Rohit said, "Not getting picked for the 2011 World Cup squad, that was the saddest moment as it was happening in our own backyard, the final was played at my home ground."
Rohit also admitted that it was due to his own mistakes for not getting picked up, "It was due to my performances, I was not at my best," Rohit added.
Looking at Rohit's career, he is one of the finest batsman in the team with laurels to his name.
