On November 15, all the 8 Indian Premier League (IPL) franchises released some of their players and retained those who proved to be valuable for them. The release had some of the surprises while KKR released Robin Uthappa, Piyush Chawla and Chris Lynn and RCB released a huge number of 12 players.
The IPL 2020 auction is set to take place on December 19 and here we have listed down 2 Star players who have walked out of IPL 2020 even before the auction due to their personal reasons.
Yuvraj Singh
After retiring from his international career, the Punjab-born World Cup star obtained No Objection Certificate (NOC) from Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and began playing for foreign T20 tournaments. Yuvraj played for Toronto Nationals in the Global T20 Canada tournament and Maratha Arabians in the T10 league.
Yuvraj Singh walked out of IPL 2020 since he could not participate in any of the Indian tournaments as he started playing in foreign tournaments.
Shakib Al Hasan
Shakib played 63 IPL matches and scored 746 runs in his career. He had played for KKR in 2012 and 2014. Then he played for SRH in 2018. Unfortunately, he was banned by ICC for a year since he failed to inform about a bookie who contacted him during IPL matches. Therefore, Shakib Al Hasan had to walk out of the IPL 2020 with no option left behind.
