RISHABH PANT LIVES UP TO HIS CHALLENGE WITH DHONI!!!

The first innings of the MI vs DC match is over and what a start this is for them considering they badly needed to start well with this fresh setup and new team name.

They didn't have the greatest of starts losing two early wickets in the first four overs. From there on Colin Ingram and Shikhar Dhawan combined for a very good partnership taking the score to 112 in 13 overs before Colin Ingram got out to Ben Cutting.

When the Mumbai Indians would have wanted to use this breakthrough to strangle the Delhi capitals who were playing with just 5 proper batsmen, the innings took an incredible spike in scoring rate with Rishabh Pant taking the bowling attack on from first ball onwards. He stormed off to finish the innings with 78 of 27 deliveries taking the total to a massive 213 for 6 in the 20 overs. The advertisements between Rishabh Pant and Dhoni created a bit of backlash for Pant, but he has responded in style.

This will be a huge task for Mumbai Indians, considering the bowling attack that the Delhi Capitals have with the likes of Boult and Rabada. Having said that, the Mumbai Indians definitely have the strength in batting to chase this total down. We might just have another thriller in our hands.
