Forced out of ICC World Cup 2019 for 3 weeks due to his left thumb injury that happened during the match against Australia, Shikhar Dhawan penned an emotional post on Wednesday.
Rishabh Pant is replacing him for the matches he misses while he still stays in the team being under observation by the medical team.
He quoted legendary Urdu poet Rahat Indori on his social media post accompanied by his injured picture. "Kabhi mehek ki tarah hum gulon se udte hain...Kabhi dhuyein ki tarah hum parbaton se udte hain...Ye kainchiyaan humein udne se khaak rokengi...Ke hum paron se nahin hoslon se udte hain... " he captioned the picture.
(Sometimes we are like the fragrance of flowers, sometimes the smoke that comes out of mountains. How can any scissor cut short our flight as we don't fly on wings but courage.)
Probably he is hinting that he will soar up high meaning the World Cup isn't over yet and he will be back in the game as an injury cannot cut short his journey. Surely, this post is motivational for cricket fans.
