Chennai Super Kings (CSK) is known for its cheeky social media presence ever since the launch of Indian Premier League (IPL). From giving loving replies to fans' posts to endorsing Tamil pride, we have seen it all.

Recently, CSK shared a picture of Australian-New Zealand cricketer Scott Styris with the caption, “Gonna tell my kids this is Michael Douglas." *Apparently the franchise is up to date on the current trend* That did not stop there. CSK further escalated its humour by saying "And that means Chennai's got 4 Oscars."

To those who do not know who Michael Douglas is, he is an American actor and producer who has received numerous accolades including 2 Academy Awards (Wall Street, One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest) and 4 Golden Globe Awards.

In response to CSK’s tweet, a Mumbai Indians fan said, “And Mumbai got 4 IPL Trophies,” to which the franchise said, “Good 4 you!” with a smiley.

Though CSK decided to end the conversation on a good note, it did not go down well with fans. “Lion crouches before it attacks,” commented one Twitter user. “Dear friend, it doesn’t matter to us because we are one family,” wrote another.
