Most people have been locked inside their homes while the world fights the coronavirus pandemic. During regular times in the past, when people were leading their busy lives, they had had the time to take up various social media challenges. Given that people now have a lot of free time in hand, at their disposal; several new and creative challenges have surfaced on various social media platforms. Pillow challenge, is the new viral challenge where people wear pillows as dresses with a belt around their waist.

From among the lakhs of people using hashtag #pillowchallenge, some are adorable and stylish while some others are hilarious.

Payal Rajput who made her South Indian cinema debut with 'RDX 100' starring Karthikeya, was one of the first few Indians to take up this challenge. She captioned the picture, “Pillow OOTD?? Quaranqueen & make it fashion ????♀️ Because I’m bored on the house & I’m in the house bored ?? #pilowchallenge”. The actress is the female lead in a Tamil film, 'Angel' starring Udayanidhi Stalin.

Many men and women are taking their followers by surprise as they accessorise their looks with boots, heels, fancy handbags, hair-do, and umbrellas. Some users have even dressed their toddlers and dogs with a pillow and a waist belt; encouraging all those interested to take up the challenge.

Here is how you can ace the Pillow Challenge:

• Choose a pillow which will fit your body perfectly,

• Select a good pillow cover for your pillow, as it will double up as your dress,

• Style it with a belt which will suit the pillow cover’s material and colour,

• Pay attention to the accessories, such as handbags/clutches, heels/sneakers/boots, interesting hairstyles, gloves, hats, sunglasses, earrings and other suitable jewellery of your choice,

• Finally, pose for a picture and use the hashtag while posting it on your social media pages.
