Cricketer MS Dhoni’s wife Sakshi took to Twitter on Thursday to express displeasure over frequent power cuts in Ranchi where the couple reside.

“People in Ranchi experience power cuts every single day. It ranges from 4 to 7 hours daily.” Highlighting the situation’s need to be addressed, Sakshi said at the time of writing the tweet there has been no electricity for five hours despite fine weather and no festivals.

“There has been no electricity for the past 5 hours today that is 19th September 2019. There is no reason for power cut today as the weather is good and there is no festival. I hope the problem is addressed by the concerned authorities.”

As soon as the tweet was shared, applause poured in for the ace cricketer’s wife for being socially responsible. The tweet has since garnered over 2500 likes and 500 retweets. “Thanks for behaving like a normal human being and not like super humans who can afford generator 24*7,” commented one Twitter user. “Really glad that you spoke ma’am. People who have an influential voice must stand for the cause of the common man,” wrote another.
