HERO DAD PUNCHES SHARK IN THE FACE TO SAVE HIS DAUGHTER!

A 17-year-old girl was out on the Atlantic Beach when a shark attacked her. However, her brave father immediately jumped into the water to save his daughter from the fatal attack.

He had repeatedly struck the shark in the face as he sought to rescue his daughter. He  fended off the shark by punching it "five times before it let go," Reports NDTV.

The girl and her father "were standing in waist-deep water and chatting and then she suddenly got pulled under," Brandon Bersch, a family friend, told NBC's "Today." "As soon as he realized what was happening, he jumped into action and began striking the shark on the nose. He wouldn't stop until it released his little girl. He lives for his children."

However, the girl still required amputation of "one leg above the knee and some fingers." Atlantic Beach Fire Department officials confirmed for WCTI.com that she had suffered "deep lacerations to her leg, pelvic and hand areas."

The girl had said in a statement that “I know I have a long road to recovery, which includes additional surgeries. I will continue to stay positive and be thankful that it was not worse.”
