UPSC aspirant murders security guard in Delhi

Chilling details have emerged in the case of a 65-year-old security guard, who was murdered by a civil services aspirant in New Delhi.

According to a report in Hindustan Times, about two weeks ago, 25-year-old Benzi Singh claimed to have woken up in the wee hours of the morning, and mentioned that he heard 'voices' asking him to 'rape and kill people', said his roommates.

Originally from Manipur, Benzi had recently appeared in the UPSC Exams, but failed to clear them. He had been suffering from insomnia and depression, which might have led him to commit the murder, said one of his friends.

Singh was arrested for murdering 65-year-old security guard Ram Bahadur Khatri. According to reports, the incident occurred when Khatri was taking a nap inside an auto-rickshaw, parked in the area. Police officers claimed how Benzi recently had an argument with an auto-rickshaw driver and how he had sworn to kill any auto-rickshaw driver  he could find.

Benzi, however, mistook Khatri for an auto-rickshaw driver and stabbed him to death using a paper cutter.
