WOW! THESE 3 INDIAN-ORIGIN TEENS MAKE IT INTO TIME'S 25 MOST INFLUENTIAL LIST

Adding pride to our country, three Indian-origin teenagers made it into the Time's Most Influential Teens of 2018. Time chose 25 teens from all around the world for their remarkable works in their fields.

Indian-American Kavya Kopparapu, Rishab Jain and British-Indian Amika George were among the most influential youngsters of the world. Jain, studying in class 8, developed an algorithm that could help possibly cure pancreatic cancer. The algorithm, used as a software tool, can help zero in on the pancreas for more accuracy, thus improving treatment.

Kavya Kopparapu, 18, studies at Harvard University. Kopparapu developed a deep-learning computer system that can scan tissue cells from the brain and distinguish between the density, colour, texture and cellular alignment. Kopparapu's goal is "to develop targeted therapies that are also unique to the person."

Anika George, 19, intends to put a stop to 'period poverty' by convincing policymakers to fund the distribution of menstrual products to girls and women who cannot afford them. George launched a #FreePeriods campaign and gained 2,00,000 signatures. George's movement eventually gained the support of UK policymakers.
