ALL 4 NIRBHAYA RAPISTS TO BE HANGED TOMORROW; CONVICT VINAY'S MOTHER PLEADS FOR LAST WISH

With few hours more to go for all four rapists to be hung tomorrow; one of Nirbhaya rapist's mother has one last wish for her son. She wants to get his favourite "puri, sabzi, kachori" meal for him. Her wish comes hours after the Delhi court dismissed a plea seeking a stay on the execution of Nirbhaya's rapists. The court said that they will all be hanged tomorrow at 5.30 am. 

Earlier in the week, the Supreme Court has dismissed a plea from one of the convicts, Akshay Kumar Singh, who had challenging the rejection of his second mercy petition by the President of India. 

Highlighting about the horrifying case, Nirbhaya was gangraped by six men in a moving bus of December 16, 2012. This brutal case shocked the world and people ran into the streets to demand justice. All four rapists have been identified as Mukesh Singh (32), Akshay Kumar Singh (31), Pawan Gupta (25) and Vinay Sharma (26), who will be hanged tomorrow. 

As per an India Today report, the hangman conducted a dummy trial of the execution earlier in the week. While the mother of the convict said that she will soon be meeting her son in jail, for one last time.

On March 5, 2020, a trial court issued a fresh death warrant of the other two convicted; Ram Singh, who allegedly committed suicide in Tihar Jail in 2015 and a juvenile, who was later sentenced to three years of punishment. He was released from a reform home in 2015.
