Recently, Lieutenant Governor of Puducherry, Dr Kiran Bedi confronted the officials of Sri Venkateswara Medical College Hospital and Research Centre (SVMCH) after receiving complaints that they stopped students from entering the classroom due to a fee dispute and reprimanded the college and set things right.
Students complained that there were being made to sit separately and thereby missed big time on their education, upon which Bedi made a visit to the college and sternly warned officials against punishing students when the matter was sub judice.
After Bedi's visit, the college management assured that students won't be deprived of their education.
