In a shocking and bizarre case, a man from Kerala had a narrow escape after a poisonous snake was caught hiding inside his helmet.
The man has been identified as KA Ranjith, who is a school teacher. The incident happened on February 5, when Ranjith, left his home for work.
According to Mathrubhumi reports, Ranjith drove for 11 kilometres without knowing that there was a dangerous snake inside his helmet. He only got to know about the case after he traveled to another school which was six kilometres away from the school that he is currently working in.
After reaching the school, Ranjith was shocked to see the snake, which had been crushed to death inside the helmet. As soon as he told his colleagues about the incident, they rushed him to a nearby hospital for a general check-up.
After the check-up, the doctors confirmed that Ranjith was not been bitten by the snake and his reports were clean. As soon as he left the hospital, Ranjith threw his helmet and set it on fire, Mathrubhumi further reported.
When media contacted Ranjith, he said that the snake might have crawled inside his helmet as a small pond is near his house. He also claimed that he did not find anything unsual or difficult when the snake was inside his helmet.
