A Sub-Inspector from Uttar Pradesh has been suspended on July 29 for allegedly kissing an unknown woman when in uniform at a hotel.
The act was caught on CCTV camera and went viral on social media platforms Later, a departmental inquiry was set up. In the video, the cop can be seen locking the hotel room’s door from outside and kissing a woman before leaving the place. The CCTV footage is said to more than 15 days old.
According to sources, the hotel owner met Firozabad’s Superintendent of Police to lodge a complaint that the cop had been visiting his hotel with unknown women for two to three hours unpaid stay for the past few months.
“Prima facie it seems that the cop was involved in immoral act while being in police uniform. The woman he is found engaged with in the video was not his wife. He has been suspended and a departmental enquiry has been set up.” Prabal Pratap Singh, Superintendent of Police, was quoted as saying by the Times of India.
