We often hear stories of brave cops who helped avert major tragedies. A similar case was reported from Jhansi, earlier this month.
In a viral video that has been posted by the Uttar Pradesh police on their Twitter handle, Mauranipur City Police Inspector Premchand can be seen dragging a burning gas cylinder with a rope to a nearby pond.
According to a report in Zee News, the accident occurred when a man was making tea at his residence. Reportedly, the cylinder in his house caught fire. The locals, without wasting time, immediately alerted the police about the incident.
The cop, who was in a meeting at that time, did not waste any time getting to the spot. Once he reached, he tried to put out the fire using a wet blanket. When it failed, the cop dragged the cylinder using a rope, into a nearby pond in the area.
