Home > News Shots > IndiaBollywood Singer, Kanika Kapoor, who grabbed headlines after she tested positive for the deadly coronavirus, has deleted the Instagram post in which she made the announcement.
Ever since the news about her being positive with the virus went viral, the singer has been slammed and backlashed for being careless and lack of caution.
She took to social media and has informed her followers that she tested positive for coronavirus. The singer, in a lengthy post said that she had symptoms of flu in the last four days and when she got herself tested it came out positive for COVID-19.
She also said in the post that she and her family members were in quarantine. On March 20, Kanika shared the news, saying: "For the past four days I have had signs of flu, I got myself tested and it came positive for COVID-19. My family and I are in complete quarantine now and following medical advice on how to move forward."
"Contact mapping of people I have been in touch with is underway as well. At this stage I would like to urge you all to practice self isolation and get tested if you have the signs. I am feeling ok, like a normal flu and a mild fever, however, we need to be sensible citizens at this time and think of all around us. We can get through this without panic only if we listen to the experts and our local, state and central government directives. Wishing everyone good health. Jai Hind !Take care," Kanika said.
She had returned from London to Lucknow a few days ago. In her post, she also urged her followers to take proper precautions amid the coronavirus outbreak.
As per a News18 report, the singer after returning from London attended a birthday party with former Rajasthan CM and BJP MP, Vasundhara Raje and her son Dushyant. She also went to a Holi party in Lucknow. She is currently being treated at Sanjay Gandhi Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences (SGPGIMS) in Lucknow.
Earlier in the day, Kanika had been tested positive for COVID-19 for the third time.
