WOMAN EMPLOYEE OF PUBLIC SECTOR ORGANISATION ENDS LIFE OVER WORKPLACE HARASSMENT

A 33-year-old accounts officer of Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited committed suicide in Hyderabad on Thursday due to alleged harassment, told police to PTI, reports TNIE.
A case has been registered against 7 officials including deputy general manager of finance of the public sector based on the complaint by her husband.
The employee is from Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. She hanged herself in the ceiling fan of her bedroom in Hyderabad. A suicide note has been found where she blamed the 7 people for harassing her. She also alleged that her calls were being tapped and she was being spied. She also alleged that she was harassed when she was posted in Bhopal earlier.
A case under IPC Section 306 (Abetment of suicide) has been registered on the 7 people and further investigations are on, told police.
