The
director was full of praise for the producers and Rajini
for extending total cooperation. This led to the film being
a big hit in Tamil and Telugu. He said that Chandramukhi
was probably the only movie which was watched by the entire
Tamil audience. He said that his last five films had
not
done well and he was going through a lean patch. But, he thanked
Rajini for reposing faith in him. He concluded by comparing
himself with a batsman. The batsman had been out of form but
once he played in the huge ground of Rajini’s popularity,
he had closed the match not with a four but with a big six.
