GV Prakash Kumar, after a well received Darling, comes back as a young lad with hormonal overflow in Trisha Illana Nayanthara (TIN). Some people listen to their hearts and some to their brains... Trisha Illana Nayanthara is a story of a young lad who is guided by neither, but his testosterones.

Directed by newcomer Adhik Ravichandran, TIN can be categorized as nervy or crass, depending on how you see it.

GV Prakash seems to get comfortable as an actor with every film. But, for most part of TIN, GV retains a scowl face and distressed attitude. This could go on to become GV’s signature too, because he clearly owns it. On the bright side, his dialogues are a party to young male audience.

Anandhi as the beautiful girl next door and Manisha Yadav as the hot girl in the apartment evoke cheers and hoots. Despite the déjà vu, VTV Ganesh's character tickles well. Simran in her brief appearance displays exuberance. Special mentions to the kids in the first half of the movie. Their innocent "David Pulla" will stick on with the masses for a long time.

On the technical front, the songs are a treat and the back ground scores are apt and even hilarious at places, particularly during Simran's establishment and pharmacy sequence. Richard Nathan's visuals are too vibrant to be true. But the film being an over the top affair by itself, a fantasy factor in the visuals is no complaint.

Coming to the story, one must understand this film is not for everyone. While a certain section of the audience might find the film like being in a rave wing-ding, one section might find it hypocritical and male chauvinistic.

In a nutshell, Trisha Illana Nayanthara is an elongated Tamil bar song. There's always a party enjoying the song and another complaining about the redundancy and misogyny. Choose which side you are on before picking the film and you'll be alright.

Verdict: GV Prakash plays to the gallery of "virgin pasanga".
