THANI ORUVAN MOVIE RELEASE EXPECTATION

Thani Oruvan starring Jayam Ravi, Nayanthara, Arvind Swamy, Ganesh Venkatraman and others will hit the screens this Friday, the 28th August. 

 

This film helmed by Mohan Raja (Jayam Raja) is the first ever straight film for the director who is known for his earlier works like Santhosh Subramanian, M Kumaran S/O, Mahalakshmi, and Velayudham to name some. He is known to give a complete, taut and sleek commercial entertainer and the promos seem to reiterate the same. 

 

Although the trailer reveals the film to be a conflict between good versus evil, a different take in the way evil is approached and portrayed appears interesting.

 

For Jayam Ravi as Mithran IPS who hunts the evil, Thani Oruvan is the first time where he would be seen as a police officer throughout the length of the film.   

 

Jayam Ravi for the first time teams with Nayanthara and the combo’s romantic portions in the trailer have struck the right notes.

 

Arvind Swamy who is popular for his soft suave roles features as Siddharth Abhimanyu, a man with grey shades. For Arvind Swamy fans, this would be a totally different experience to see their star in a different breath. 

 

The action blocks scream of stylish high octane stunts that are sure to satisfy the action fans.

 

Hip Hop Adhi’s tracks are noteworthy and the young composer’s appearance in the recently released ‘Theemai Dhaan Vellum’ number appears to be well choreographed.

 

Thani Oruvan also stands unique for being filmed on films its most scenes but for a couple of seqeunces when people have shifted to digital. 

 

With so many ‘firsts’ to its credit, Thani Oruvan appears to be a good ride!
